How Tusshar was made Gayab

Prawaal Raman’s Gayab where Tusshar Kapoor does a disappearing act releases today worldwide. And wonder how Kapoor was made invisible in the film. For this, the special effects company Prime Focus made use of special techniques. Tusshar was covered from head to toe in a green suit. And he had to wear his clothes over that. After filming the sequences, the green color was completely removed from the frames with the help of computer software. That left Tusshar only with clothes and without his body! Prime Focus is also responsible for the Matrix style special effects in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi where a single Salman Khan fights with six Akshay Kumars (a la Neo fighting a 100 Agent Smith in Matrix Reloaded). Motion controlled camera and MILO machines were used for these stunning effects. Prior to this, Prime Focus has worked on the title sequences for films like Qayamat, Road and Pukar, a song sequence in Kartoos and have developed several television ads including the current animated Close-Up commercial. Nimit Malhotra, son of filmmaker Naresh Malhotra, is the managing director of the company which has a turnover of 25 crores. As of now, the company has also bagged three Ram Gopal Varma films.
