Leggy beauty Pooja Batra recently tied the knot with US-based surgeon Dr. Sonu Ahluwalia with a grand wedding ceremony in New Delhi. The evening was replete with all the elements of a typical Punjabi wedding with lots of music, great food and good wine. The shaadi was coincided with warm receptions and parties at Le Merridian, The Mariott and The Grand Hayat, with a host of her family friends and colleagues attending. Pooja, who seemed particularly thrilled with the presence of Lubna Adams, Noyanika Chatterjee, Achla Sachdev, Karminder Kaur, Vandana Luthra, Amar Singh, Akbar Khan, Inder Sudan and Jackie Shroff, was a glimpse of beauty-personified all throughout. After marriage, she will be shuttling between Manhattan and Mumbai for her acting assignments. Pooja, who recently stole the thunder with her small role in Talaash, will soon get back to her hectic shooting schedules in Jodhpur for Akbar Khans magnum opus Taj Mahal An Eternal Love Story (wherein she plays the role of the scheming queen Noorjehan). Not only this, she also plans to do some theatre in the States soon. But all that after she returns from Maldives, where shes gone for her honeymoon.
