Another rumour doing the rounds of the industry is that Akshay Kumar has been brought in as the replacement for Shah Rukh Khan. The project in question is being produced by Cineyug (Karim Morani, Bunty Soorma, Aly Morani) and directed by David Dhawan. It may be recalled that the producers had signed SRK and Karisma Kapoor for the project long back, but the launch of the film kept getting postponed time and again. The reasons attributed for the postponement were, at times, SRKs involvement in his home-production and also Davids multiple projects that kept him pre-occupied. Also, a few people felt that the producers were too involved in conducting stage shows, hence the film projects took a backseat. But news that Akshay had stepped in SRKs shoes did raise a lot of eyebrows. Aly Morani was on guard when we asked him to verify the news. I have heard of it too, but its not true. We havent signed anyone yet. We are still working on the casting of the film. All I can say right now is that the project will go on the floors in October, Morani revealed. But why this delay in starting the film? Well, we can start it before if David has the dates. But, please, no one has been signed so far. We are working on the casting at the moment, he added. Lets see who eventually stars in the film. The truth should be out soon!
