Govinda commits 15 days every month to Sony TV’s Game Show:

The 50th Filmfare Awards nominations are out and there with big blunders on the list. Udit Narayan has been nominated in the Best Playback Singer (Male) category for the title track of Main Hoon Na. Now this is surprising because though the track appears in two versions in the Main Hoon Na album, Udit Narayan has sung none. The main version has been sung by Sonu Nigam while Abhijeet renders the sad version. In fact Udit Narayan hasn’t sung any song from Main Hoon Na.

That’s not all! There are more goof-ups on the list. There are 3 instances of an actor being nominated in more than one category for the same film. Abhishek Bachchan finds a nomination in both – the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ and ‘Villainous Role’ categories for his performance in Yuva. So is the case with Priyanka Chopra who is nominated in both categories for Aitraaz. Also Akshay Kumar has multiple nominations in the ‘Supporting Actor’ and ‘Comic Role’ categories for Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. And if this was intentional, all we can say is that – Is there a scarcity of talent in Bollywood that Filmfare had to settle on an actor from the same film being nominated in two categories?
