Tigmanshu Dhulia is back in news! After directing CHARAS, Dhulia had got busy penning the dialogues for the Rajkumar Santoshi-directed FAMILY TIES OF BLOOD. But hes back to calling the shots now. He has been assigned the directorial reins of not one, but two films. Tigmanshus favorite Irrfan Khan and Randeep Hooda will head the cast of the first film, which isnt titled yet. I am keen to call the film TEVAR, but the title is with Yash Raj, he states, Its a gangster film set in Uttar Pradesh. Actor Manik Bedi, who made his production debut with PADMASHREE LALOO PRASAD YADAV, will produce this film. Why U.P.? The Mumbai underworld has been done to death by Bollywood film-makers, while the U.P. underworld hasnt been explored to the optimum. Theres a certain attitude that I want to capture, hence the subject is set in Uttar Pradesh. Besides, thatll give the film a different color, the talented director adds. The other project Tigmanshu has started work on is set during the 1857 mutiny. But its a work of fiction, he adds instantly, So far, weve finalized Sunny Deol, Sameera Reddy and Irrfan Khan for the film in question. Pramod Sharma will produce this film which is expected to roll some time in March this year.
