There have been reports in a section of the press that Ripples has signed E. Niwas to direct a film that will star Sonu Niigam in the lead. "The film will be jointly produced by Ramu-ji and Ripples. However, it is true that Sonu has been signed to do this project," Niwas tells us. According to Niwas, the film will go on the floors once Sonu returns from Canada, where he is shooting for Raj Babbar's film. Incidentally, Niwas's next project will be a romantic film for which he is busy working on the script. Needless to add, this is for the first time Niwas will try his hand on a romantic film, after attempting a police-versus-politician saga (SHOOL) and a light entertainer (LOVE KE LIYE KUCH BHI KAREGA).
