Coffee table book prior to the release of magnum opus,Taj Mahal

Akbar Khan is doing all that he can in order to make sure that his Taj Mahal will be something memorable. In keeping with this idea, a coffee table book will be launched, prior to the release of the film. When we spoke to the producer, this is what he had to say. This is the first time in India that a curtain raiser to the film is being released in the form of a coffee table book. Generally, books are released after the film is released. But this time, viewers will get an insight into what the film is all about. The readers will get to see the kind of jewellery, costumes and the kind of detailing that has gone into the film. The producer went on to compare the making of his film to the making of the actual Taj Mahal, stating that it took 20 years and 20,000 workers to build the real monument whereas his film took 3 years and 1000 workers. There will also be a genealogy page where the characters in the film will be compared to the actual historical figures. The book written by Suresh Kohli is available at book stores. And before even Khans Taj Mahal has hit the screens, he is preparing for another film titled Genghis Khan. When we asked him about it, he was quite hesitant about divulging too many details. All I can say is that it endorses my passion for making historical films. Not a problem if he does not want to talk about it yet. Were sure that like Taj Mahal, even Genghis Khan will be one helluva opulent affair.
