Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter makes her Bollywood debut

Keira Chaplin, granddaughter of the legendary comedian Charlie Chaplin (Kiera’s grandmother Oona Chaplin was the fourth wife of Charlie Chaplin), is the latest actress of foreign origin to enter Bollywood. Having featured in a couple of Hollywood films, Keira will make her Bollywood debut with a film titled ‘Yatna’ to be directed by debutante Rajshree Ojha. Ojha was the winner of the SVA student Oscar award in 1999. The movie runs on 3 parallel stories and Keira plays the part of a young missionary girl in one of them. She plays a girl who comes to India and gets involved with an older man played by Victor Banerjee (does than faintly reminds of Joggers Park???). The 22-year young girl who confesses that grandfather Charlie Chaplin has always been her major source of inspiration is currently shooting in Kolkata for the film.
