Sholay: The Making Of A Classic', written by Anupama Chopra, made it to Penguin India's The 10,000 Club, a club which includes all the books that have sold over 10,000 copies and are still in print. Penguin India, to celebrate its 15th anniversary, recently introduced The 10,000 Club. In a country where 5,000 copies is a best seller, 10,000 is a blockbuster, so like the film, 'Sholay: The Making Of A Classic' is also a blockbuster. Out of the approximately 1,000 Penguin titles in print, only 105 have touched the 10,000 mark. 'Sholay: The Making Of A Classic' is the only film book on the list.
