Bollywood organises a cricket match for Gujarat relief fund:

Bollywood is doing its utmost for the Gujarat quake relief. Sunil Shetty took the initiative of organizing a cricket match with the visiting Australians on the coming weekend at Brabourne Stadium in South Bombay. Participants will include Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Sanjay Dutt (with his beard grown for his new film Pitah), Saif Ali Khan, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai, Raveena Tandon, Mahima, Urmila and Manisha. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday night, Sunil Shetty, Shekhar Suman, Gautam Singhania and Sanjay Dutt presented the highlights of the match. This event is being organized for Save the Children, an NGO which will use the funds to build orphanages, hospitals, schools and other facilities for the quake hit children in Gujarat. There will be a total of 4 teams who will play 4 matches of 5 overs each. Players will include the Bollywood stars, the Indian cricket team and the Australians. In between the matches, there will be live performances by Shaan, Javed Jaffery, Usha Uthup, Gavin Robertson, Sanjay Manjrekar and Vinod Kambli. The tickets are being priced at Rs. 6000 per couple. Ensuring maximum collection will be an auction of memoralbia of the stars and the cricketers. Speaking to the press, Sanjay Dutt said that Bollywod has always done its mite for good causes and will ensure a good collection. He said that people should reach out and help to the maximum extent possible. Sunil Shetty, the man behind the action, will remain behind the scenes for this event also. He said that his role would be that of a spot-boy, monitoring things and keeping them under control. Attaboy, Sunil, way to go!!
