A few weeks ago, wed informed you that MUGHAL-E-AZAM had been cleared by the censors in Pakistan. Now heres the latest on the film and its Pakistani release As part of the marketing strategy and to create hype before the magnum opus opens in theatres in Pakistan, Akbar Asif, son of legendary film-maker K. Asif, has come up with a unique concept of discovering a present-day Anarkali in Pakistan, who will be awarded a cash prize of PKR 2.1 million. She will become the Ambassador to the film MUGHAL-E-AZAM in Pakistan. Once chosen, she will be flown to London for the final event, where she will be handed over the first print of the film by a topnotch celebrity or a member of the royal family. Simultaneously, Nadeem Mandviwalla, who is releasing the epic in Pakistan, will announce a quiz centering around the personality who will do the honors of handing over the print of the film in London. From Pakistan, the person guessing the right answer will be awarded a cash prize of PKR 500,000 and from India, the cash prize will be INR 1,100,000. A press conference to announce the same will be held in Karachi on March 30.
