It was learned that Amy Jackson, who was last seen in Singh Is Bliing, was roped in for a special role in Arjun Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Half Girlfriend. Amy Jackson was supposed to play the character of Samantha Myers from the Bill Gates Foundation, who comes to India with Gates to fund schools in villages and her role was important for the second half of the film.

Talking about her decision, Amy recently said that she had already given her dates to a British film which she will start shooting from September. Having said that, she also praised the character she was supposed to play in Half Girlfriend and found the role lovely. She also talked about working with Arjun Kapoor and said that she'd love to work with him in future.
Meanwhile, Amy Jackson is starring opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Salman Khan Productions next film Freaky Ali which is slated to release on September 9, 2016.
