While the last season of Pro Kabbadi League saw the victory of Abhishek Bachchan's team Jaipur Pink Panthers, this time around, his father and legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan too will be actively promoting the sport. Earlier we had mentioned about how Amitabh was crooning for a special song for the promotions of the league. Now, we hear that the megastar will also be singing the National Anthem on the first day of the league.
The channel believes this to be an attempt to bring together the entire country to watch the match and encourage such games. Uday Shankar, CEO of Star India Pvt. Ltd. mentioned that it is an extremely pleasurable experience to receive the support of a veteran like Amitabh Bachchan. On the other hand, Amitabh too expressed his happiness over promoting the game. Reminiscing about how kabaddi has always been a part of the childhood days, Amitabh added that he readily agreed to be a part of it as he believes that this will take sports in India to a whole new level.
