The recent decision of Venus to drop the Dharmesh Darshan project had led to speculation in production circles that the company had decided to go slow in production. We never intended to go slow on production, says Ratan Jain, who is gearing up for Venus' next project, a film to be directed by Priyadarshan, starring Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, Rimi Sen and Paresh Rawal. We had been planning a project with Priyadarshan for quite some time and we are glad that it is finally happening, adds Jain. The film is scheduled to take off with a marathon schedule in Chennai, where a lavish set is being erected at Prasad Studios. Venus is also readying for the release of its home-production HATYAR on October 18.
