The reflection (AKS) is in the mirror staring in your face. What are you gon'na do? Well the only thing is that the reflection is not your true self but someone who has taken on your identity. The dark psychological thriller (whatever that means) AKS's story line is being guarded better than Fort Knox. Loosely inspired by the Hollywood thriller "The Face", it stars Manoj Bajpai as a crook who dons the identity of Amitabh Bachchan and commits crimes. Luckily, the director Rakesh Mehra had good sense to let Amitabh play his age. The cast is khichdi worth waiting for. Amitabh, Nandita Das, Manoj Bajpai, Amol Palekar, Raveena Tandon are all from different genres and eras of Bollywood. There is a heightened expectation from Amitabh in this film as it follows the widely appreciated role of Amitabh in Mohobatein as also the hype of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The film was completed in an average budget at 10 crores. It is rumored that Amitabh and Amol have gone beyond their usual self and refused doubles for stunt. They jumped handcuffed together from a cave into a waterfall for a scene in the film. The director, Rakesh Mehra, who had earlier directed the 'different' Eir Bir Phatte music video for Mr B. He is a veteran ad film maker and a lot is expected from this film. Await this space for more.
