That Ajay Devgan and writer-director Anees Bazmee [PYAAR TO HONA HI THA, DEEWANGEE] share a terrific rapport is known to all and sundry. But here's an interesting development that happened recently: Ajay watched the rough-cut of BENAAM [directed by Bazmee] a short time ago and so impressed was the actor with what he viewed that he allotted bulk dates in March to BENAAM. There was a remote possibility of the film getting delayed. But Ajay's confidence in the project and the magnanimous gesture has boosted our morale tremendously. We hope to wrap the entire shooting by March now, an elated Bazmee informs me. Besides BENAAM, which should reach the completion post in March, the writer-director is also looking forward to NO ENTRY [Anil, Salman, Fardeen]. This one should hit the marquee in April, Bazmee states. Besides these two biggies, Bazmee has bagged yet another prestigious assignment: Producer Bablu Pachisia's [ZAMEEN, JULIE] forthcoming project, which, reportedly, will star Ajay Devgan and John Abraham in the lead. Not true at all, Bazmee clarifies, Bablu and I have okayed the script, but the casting is still undecided. In fact, we haven't approached any star yet. The film is expected to take off in April this year. Hopefully, a clear picture vis-?is the star cast should emerge in a week or two, he says. Watch this space!
