Organized by leading animation community forum CGTantra, India’s largest animation gaming and VFX exhibition – CGTExpo is all set to take place on the 29th and 30th May at Nehru Centre in Mumbai.
Currently in its third year, the event will feature some of the exciting line up this year. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama.com, R K Chand, CGTantra co-founder and the member of the organizing team shared, “The initiative is to bring together aspirants and professionals under one roof to increase the knowledge base. We are planning to scale it up in terms of refined content and the footfall as well. There is an expectancy of 5000 attendees this year,”
Explaining about the lineup of CGTExpo, he shared, “There are several seminars and masterclasses lined up this year which will be taken by some of the best industry stalwarts from both India as well as International studios. These sessions will be targeted towards general visitors who are keen on animation as well as specialized animation audience. Animation sessions from Rhythm and Hues, LucasFilms and various other studios are going to be interesting. Apart from this, a dedicated session on mental ray and Role of VFX in films and TVC are couple of session which people can look forward to,”
“We have almost all the leading studios coming in as a part of Job Fair including Lucas Film Singapore, who is coming in a big way this time around, We also have a spectacular line up of Sessions including Animation session from Dreamworks dedicated unit at Paprikaas, also Technical animation session from Lucas Film. We do have Technological companies like HP, NVIDIA, Corel, Wacom coming in a big way. Apart from that the leading educational institutions like Frameboxx being the Presenting Partner for the event and FX School being the associate partner for the event offering a wide variety of carrer-seeking options for students in AVGC Industry.” added Chand.
In addition, CGTantra Community Awards will take place to honor people for their efforts in the animation industry, “CGTantra Community Awards will be a big bash this time as the entries that we have received so far are much better in quality and quantity (more than 600 entries) since last year and this has created lot of enthusiasm among people.” Concluded Chand.
