Aftab moves from Factory to Acid Factory Click here to add this article to My Clips

By Subhash K. Jha, February 18, 2008 - 11:19 IST

He started his career 9 years ago with Ram Gopal Varma's Mast. Today, Aftab Shivdasani has gone from Ram Gopal Varma's Factory to Sanjay Gupta and director Suparn Varma's Acid Factory.

"Yes that's what my film that I've signed with Sanjay Gupta's is called. It's a really terrific role, the kind I've never done before. And I'm being a given a totally different look for it," said Shivdasani, even as he wrapped up his work in the comedy E Niwas' De Taali and got ready to move on to Robby Grewal's romantic comedy Aloo Chaat from Feb 25. "Somewhere I needed a change of pace. Acid Factory will provide me that change," says Aftab.

The film teams Aftab with Manoj Bajpai, Dino Morea, Fardeen Khan and Danny Denzongpa. "There will be a romantic lead. But like a lot of Sanjay Gupta's films, it will be a very rugged macho kind of film with lots of action. I haven't really done something like this," says Aftab excitedly even as he has finalized the director for his first production. "I've chosen Glen, one-half of the Glen-Ankush duo who directed Jaane Kya Hoga."
