Koena Mitra: Dancing With Nelly

New Year’s was a whammer for Koena on stage with Nelly Furtado and Co.
"Nelly was fun. Shahid, Priyanka and I all had our own items to perform. For the finale we all got together with Rahman and Nelly… Nervous? I enjoy myself too much on stage to be nervous. The high one gets performing live incomparable with any other experience."
Another high for Koena in 2006 was the comedy Apna Sapna Money Money. "The film worked. And that's what counts. And now I'll be doing two more films with Subhash Ghaiji in 2007. I'll be working with Sanjay Gupta again. I've been offered two films with him. He's doing so many films. I've suggested we do a comedy together."
But the one that Koena is looking forward to at the moment is Anant Mahadevan's Anamika. "It's the kind of role that would give me the image of an actress. Audiences have never seen me do something like this before. Anamika should give me that boost in 2007 that I've been looking for. All in all I've no complaints from 2007. But the coming year should take me forward."
