So much hype going into the cinema hall. So many expectations. So was jannat anywhere to be seen? A little (sad, isn't it?) and here is why. And oh by the way, watch this movie for Emraan Hashmi and Emraan Hashmi only. It is his movie, from the very start till the very end. Sonal Chauhan is good but Emraan had just outdone his previous best performance in Awarapan (a just personal thought). Getting back to this movie, the acting was brilliant for the most part. Everyone executed their role with passion and Emraan put his heart and soul to it. However, the major letdown of the movie, which actually should have been the strong point, is its climax. Now, I won't spoil the beans as I will left that to you guys to watch the film and then decide if those beans are worth chewing on but the climax is where the movie falls apart. It could have been executed with a touch of better direction but, sadly, that is where the viewer is left with that questioned look (:0 ???) for there were parts that still needed to be answered. With that said, this flaw sort of distracts the movie going janata but the movie itself is strong enough because it tries to overcome that problem (if you call it a problem) and succeeds for the most part because of its USP, which is Emraan Hashmi and the music. So is it worth watching still? I would say so. The movie itself is rather ‘okay’ but the acting is all praise for Mr. Hashmi. There should be some best actor awards for his performance. But wait that might change when the year comes to an end since by that time we would have seen SRK. Or Aamir. Or Aki. May be. But as for now, all hail the king: Emraan.
