well... to begin with all self proclaimed critics can take a back seat...and at the point of being rude i wud like to say just two words to mr.taran adarsh in the only language he understands(shah rukh's and his very impactful OSO lingo):fish off
its a very b'ful movie... very innocent... there are obviously certain flaws in the movie like anyother blockbuster movie which relesed this year,which our crtics can very nicely overlook,if they r paid the right kind of money(i m not being sarcastic here, coz i want them to get the msg which is simple,loud n clear),but its a complete entertainer with brilliant performance from all characters and artists....wait i havent yet come to our very own MADHURI.its a role writen for her...and as expected she does full justice to it and more... she can actually push the bar and it has raised above it.she is a true diva...and not a self procaiming one!!!the story is gr8,very well choreographed movie,excellent performance by all artists....a must watch for all hindi movie lovers.last word to all plzzzzzz, plzzzz never ever trust any critics and dont read them before u have actually sen the movie... u might actually regtet trusting them... hope certain mr.taran adarsh is listening... or has he already started looking for other options..
What I liked about the movie:
1.MADHURI: certainly an award wining performance by her... she will bag all awards in 2007,coz except for kareena in jab we met i dont even see a very strong competition in female lead coz there is none...and like yash chopra said 10 years back "when madhuri is there everything else finishes.."
2:kunal kapoor: pefect as local goon and no body else could have done more justice to majnu
3:konkona sen: as always cute, lovable n hugable...very god comic timing
4:akshaye khanna: as always is a winner with his subdued performance, accolades
5:all artists : everybody has done full justice to their roles
6: the laila-majnu play : a very b'ful,soulful, very beautifully choreographed play(vaibhavi can take a bow)this is the usp of the movie...
What I didn't like about the movie:
songs were good.. but being very honest they could have ben better.
