Average movie!
With all the possible hype created around the movie...it was just average! Not exactly what you get to see in a karan johar movie! His movies have a great combination of humor and emotions which people can relate to!
"Dostana" was a completely modern-westernized movie which might not be accepted in rural parts of India. It had its share of ups & downs...I would say that the story could have been directed in a much better way since dostana was supposed to be all about "redefining friendship"!
But it did fall flat after the interval and during the climax! Coming to the performances, John was superb and Abhishekh was good in parts!
Priyanka looked pretty but her character just required to be "good-looking"...thats all!
Kiron kher was hilarious but being such a talented actress, she had hardly anything to 'act'! Bobby Deol was typical like in all his movies! The rest of the characters were good enough! The only thing which kept me going in the movie were the external aspects about it- styling was top notch, beautifully captured locations and sets and well-picturized songs!
