First lest clear some rumors about JBJ
Its not a remake of Kank
It doesnt have Ash or Srk in it
I had a big question before I saw the movie:
With SAATHIYA and B n B, his directorial accomplishments, Shaad Ali has made dumb and stupid movies with Saathiya juss being a lil better: Will Shaad make a good movie?
And guess wat Shaad Ali doesnt fail this time..
I dint have expectations from the movie
Juss went to watch it cuz of the music
JBJ isnt anything pathbreaking but its fun.. it s a crazy movie.
The first half .. will make u think its A Kank remake, Shaad Ali has failed again after B n B and Lara and Bobby have special appearances.
Thats what i thoughtt, but the Second Half just changed the whole course of the movie.
Jhoom Barabar Jhoom is about Rikki Thukral from Bhatinda and Alvira Khan from Lahore. They are both waiting for their fiances who are coming from Birmingham but the train is delayes for two hours.
Their fiances are Anaida and Steve.
In those two hours they tell their love stories and play games etc. Intermission but before that there is a big suprise!
It starts like a nice love quadrangle but it changes into somthing else!
The first half is quite sluggish with a love story betwwen Rikki and Alvira being made and I was like .. y the hell did Priety call this movie crazy!
The dialouges suit the characters and there is lot of swearing not the Omkara type but mild swearing by Lara Dutta
The writing is ok .. the first half could have been way better. Shaad Ali has improved but still needs to be way better. The movie doesnt actually work thatmuch of the story but cuz of the characters. Rikki , Satvinder , Laila, Ruffy Bhai are great characters.
Aki Narula - wat the heell was he up 2.. hes made the guys dress up like chimpanzeess and the ladys hot!
The cinematography is ausome specially in Bol Na Halke and Kiss of Love. The locales of India in Bol Na Halke are splendid.
The music is superb expect Ticket to shittywood.
Jhoom is amazing but it wasnt required.
All the songs have been shot well. But JBJ and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom just rock! The dance is simply ausome!
JBJ is emblished with great performances.
Many people might hate Abhishek in this movie. His hairstyle and costumes are outrageous. But i think only he could have played Rikki Thukaraal . He suited it to the T . Great Job.
Priety Zinta has never looked so hot .. she is extremely beautiful. Her role doesnt require acting but she looks HOTTTTT!Its just a bubbly character which she has played bfore but she suited the role.
Lara Dutta also looks hot and that hot that both the men couldnt resist her and kissed her in the movie. I love her french accent and in the second half she is halarious.
Bobby Deol: I was like in the first half,, Y the fuk is he in this movie ... BUT IN THE SECONG HALF HE MAKE U LAUGH. He is great ...but i hope he had a bigger role!
Amitabh wasnt required and his getup is bizzare and totally rubbish. Do some better roles at this age
Ruffy bhai is asuome! Haaha great character!
On whole JBJ is not pathbreaking cinema. It is just a movie with fun and its a good one time watch.Will open well and will run! Its entertaining cinema! but way better than crap Dhoom 2
