Right from scene one, this film will remind you of your college days. Those late night drives with the gang and crooning to the golden era songs. Anyways, this film is about Aditi [Genelia] and Jai [Imran] who are the best of friends. The entire world knows that they are love with each other, but they themselve dont know so! Plain and simple yet engaging and entertaining.
This film does have a young and fresh look to it. Imran is effective as Jai. He however does need to control those eyebrows movements. Genelia is cute and adorable. You will definitely take notice of her. The supporting cast includes Ratna Pathak [Imrans mom- superb]; the gang of friends [fantastic]; Paresh Rawal [the inspector- irritatingly righteous]; Naseerudin [Imrans father- picture perfect]; Pratik [Genelias bro- great]; Anuradha Patel & Jayant [Genelias parents- so cute] All of them are perfect and support the film aptly. Arbaaz and Sohail also throw in a special appearance.
Its a feel good feel. I did feel light after watching it. Its not about heavy action or drama. It will bring back memories of those college days and post. Go ahead and relive those memories again.
What I liked about the movie:
Its a very simple story that is treated very plainly. And its the treatment that is what gets a smile on your face.
Also the scenes between Ratna Pathak and Naseer. Its a concept that has been tried before, but never been as effective as this.
What I didn't like about the movie:
The climax. After being a 'logical' film throughout, the storming in of Imran into the Airport is so cliche! Common Abbas, you could have done better. Also post interval, it does tend to drag a bit.
