At first, i thought Metro was going to be another Salaam-E-Ishq (rubbish). But as the movie progressed, i realized that this was a poignant original movie with lots to tell. SHILPA SHETTY/KAY KAY MENON/SHINEY AHUJA: this story was almost perfect. The tiffs between Shilpa and Kay Kay are so life like. However, i couldn't digest the culmination of this story, it seems so unreal. Shilpa loves Shiney but then Kay Kay rectifies his ways and comes back to her. Why did she leave Shiney? It looks hurried. SHARMAN JOSHI/KANGANA RANAUT/KAY KAY MENON: I feel that this story was above average. Kangana's and Shiney's desperation for love and a profitable future seems plausible. However Kangana's change of heart at the end should have been crafted more proficiently instead of her running out of the car without warning. KONKONA SEN SHARMA/IRFRAN KHAN: this story was brilliant, there is a great chemistry between the thw actors who complement eachother beautifuly at each stage of the movie. The comedy invlolved in this story is not crass, but clever and Irrfan's one liners had me in splits. DHARMENDRA/NAFISA ALI: this was an original story on old age love. The kiss between Dharmendea and Nafisa is aesthetic and not a full on sleaze fest. It will raise some eyebrows but I think that is gives us the message that age is just a number and that love is limitless. The portions between the two are sweet and Dharmendra's acting towards the end is award worthy. The soundtrack to the movie is wonderful. It is a fresh new sound that refreshes our ears from the repeated number of horribe tunes in the past few months. Special mention to Suhail, who sings O Meri Jaan with a haunting effect. My favourite song was In Dino. This is a fantastic film with top-notch direction and performances from all members of the cast. A must see!!!

What I liked about the movie:
THE PERFORMANCES: SHILPA SHETTY [career best, fantastic], KAY KAY MENON [brilliant, makes you hate the character], IRRFAN KHAN[hillarious and proficient], KONKONA SEN [wonderful] KANGANA RANAUT [she is going to be big one day!] SHARMAN JOSHI [depandable], DHARMENDRA [beautifully done], SHINEY AHUJA [likeable, but cannot compare to his other films] & NAFISA ALI [graceful, and elegantly carried off] the music was also the best i've ever heard. GO PRITAM!

What I didn't like about the movie:
the band being involved in EVERY SONG. a few would have been ok. Otherwise the movie was perfect.

Would you recommend this movie to your friend: Yes
