I must say, before writing my opinion I watched Taran Adarsh's review on India FM and the guy praised this movie in a good way I would say. This man knows how to surely make you feel convinced what he thinks.
The man is praising for actings of Saif Rani (not mentioning kids) plus car racing and hardly giving any information if the story reflects in different way as nowadays we see lots of remakes and adaptions from Hollywood flicks. eg. in this case Talladega Nights, Life is Beautiful and some bits and pieces.
Maybe YRF are in the real race in movie business wants to crossover to the west and be the first house to make big commercial success. I would say try harder but with excellent original scripts like they used to do before. e.d Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
What I liked about the movie:
The race was ok. The kids are cool. Over emotionnal scenes from kids.
What I didn't like about the movie:
The race wasn't shot in that great way just typical bollywood style Saif as larger than life number 1 racer, hard to digest the fact. I thought Rani was going to look different and more beautiful, but disappointed in the outfits and new hairstyle in the first half. Lot of typical hindi cinema emotions which force you heart to melt in to tears(I Simply hate tears over extra emotional scenes which doesn't seem to happen in real world). Repeatative formula and ideas take from Talladega Nights, Life is Beautiful and I am tired of New York. Why not go to california, Chicago or somewhere else. Movie made to please NRI's like me but still i wasn't pleased.
