A well knit story, well directed, with witty dialogues and beautiful music, needless to say, with great performances.
Spice6 restaurant is the finest among Indian restaurants in London, and it's run by Buddhadeb/Buddha(Amitabh). One day Neena(Tabu) comes along with her friend Shalini, and returns a dish, this hurts Buddha and he challenges Neena over the recipe, who eventually wins. And, from thereon, communication starts off between Buddha and Neena, gradually they fall in love and decide to marry. But the problem is Buddha is 64 and Neena is 34, even her father(Paresh) is 58, six years younger, would Neena's father accept their relationship, or would it end like Nishabd/Joggers Park! R Balki has knit the chemistry among the characters quite well, with a strong support of background music. Witty dialogues, particularly between Buddha and Neena have added spice to the movie, though it remains unexplained, why Buddha was so much attached with the little girl, daughter of his neighbour and a cancer patient. Is there any need to comment about performances of all the lead actors!
