MANI'S BEST SO FAR....loosely-based on the life of dhirubhaiambani GURU traces the life of gurukant desai from childhood to turkey and on becoming the biggest businessman of the year.Ahishek bachchan delivers a powerful performance, performance of a lifetime in GURU.HE WILL SWEEP AWAY ALL THE AWARDS.The best thing about abhishek is that when you are watching him you are not watching a.b junior but gurukant desai.AISHWARYA RAI is fantastic in the emotional sequences and dances so well in the introduction song.for the first time malika sherawat is lloking stunningly good, mithunda;s real comeback is guru and he rocks.mani deserve full credit for finetuning this brilliant actor.though a cameo, vidya balan shows that she is here to stay and mark my word aish, rani and preity have serious competition.mani ratnam direction is superb and it gives GURU his magical touch.the film has amazing cinematography, photography and editing.
to sum up,mani ratnam is above himself and irrespective of boxoffice,GURU is a classic and reference point in the history of indian cinema.abhishek bachchan has immortalised GURU..its a milestone in the career of this young actor..congratulations GURUKANT DESAI
What I liked about the movie:
ITS CINEMATOGRAPHY,FIRST CLASS DIRECTION AND STELLAR PERFORMANCE.GURU IS TRULLY WORLDCLASS CINEMA
What I didn't like about the movie:
GURU BROTHER-IN-LAW WAS NOT REQUIRES AS IT DOESNT PROVIDE A LINK TO THE STORY AS WELL AS THE DIRECTOR COULD HAVE EDITED THE SCENE WHERE SUJATA ELOPES..
