Well i have always respected AAMIR KHAN as an actor...and always i had a feeling tat
he would make a fantastic director.........but never in my dreams did i think ...he ll make such a fantastic and meaningful film..........TAARE ZAMEEN PAR can be called as tribute to aamirs love cinema.................an unconventional subject.
To start with....aamir s directorial debut ............is certainly not an out and out aamir khan
starrer.....And he starts the starcast list wid Darsheel safary and then Aamirs name
comes.......and yes it is surely a darsheel starrer as the first half of the film only has
hardly 1 min of Aamir.....But although many might say tat was too late an
entry........the best part is tat.....Darsheel safary carries the first half of the film
compleately on his shoulder and he delivers...never does any one get bored.....and
the first half was more engaging than the second half......
Well the movie is certainly not a kids film ...but a film about kids.....(A dislexic
boy).....But for kids attention .. Aamir khan has introduced claymation in indian cinema
for the first time during the credits shown at the starting.......(DIMAANT VYAAS whom i
have personally met has ...taken some part of his earlier works.....just put it up in
here....for eg: the hippo sinking in water...)....but it was really good and animation
whether the 2d part or the claymation part......is been done well.........technically the
film is really well made ....the numbers and letter dancings are well done....then the
dreams of the kid and some creatures circulating his head all are done wid
precision..........so tecnicality of the film is w onderful......
Next best thing about the movie is the camera work...although its not magical in
positions and angles etc....the camera captures each and every tear drop
beautifully......and the lighting is also brilliant especially in the first half...in those
school sequences......
What I liked about the movie:
About the film....the first half is brilliant......aamirs direction is first rate.....his views....apt picture of various scenes,and yes the most important delivering a mindblowing performance from the kid......aamir explores various expressions of kids beautifully...whether it is the assembly scene or the class room.....the acts that darshhel comes up with wen he s thrown out of the class...those are just brilliant,....although the other class children teasing him was a little unnecessary.....showing the Ishaan s(character played by Darsheel) imagination of finding the answer to 3 * 9 = 3.....through animation was good.......then the lines THE LETTER S ARE DANCING...was very funny although it had a very inner meaning to it.......
Well this would be the first time i ever cried watching a film in theatre......especially in the scenes 2 and 5 above mentioned.....
In the early stages of second half...the story ...goes aamirs way ..shifting from ishaan.....some scenes there....... could have been editted.....but towards the end the drawing compitetion was funny as well as inspirational......Then aamir explaining to ishaan s father tat....just caring inside ur heart will do no good to a kid...he needs to know tat.....make him feel that care and love ..tell him tat he loves the boy......aamir gives a tip of education for parents ..not to force their ambition and let them do wat they really want to ...and they love to do.........The best part is tat not a single emotion is forced on us......just comes naturally.....
The music is fantastic and suits the film...the song played in the background during the drawing compitetion is excellent.........another thing is all the songs except bum bum bole is played wid out the lip sinking...tats played in the background all the supporting actors are good tooo...
Well overall i just loved the movie ...every thing abt it...aamirs debut as a director...Darsheels performance......he carries the film like a superstar in the first half........capturing audiences all the attention......a brilliant movie....... for me ...its the best film of 2007...and not to forget is one man AMOL GUPTE.....for such a brilliant story....
What I didn't like about the movie:
the focus shifting from ishaan in the second half....
