Did Saawariya make any sense to anyone? Ranbir is an aspiring singer who ends up living in a area filled with prostitues, one being Rani. Sonam is a girl who lives with her grandmother who is extremely overprotective and she falls in love with their tenant Salman, who Sonam knows nothing about except his name... Where in todays world does this happen? Are we living in the 1800s? I have never seen this place where the movie was shot. Where are there canals like Venice, the old time charm of cities like Hydrebad and Lucknow, and why is everything blue or black? I would recomend this movie to a friend... I would recomend them to see how bad Bollywood movies can really be!
What I liked about the movie:
The only thing good about Saawariya was Ranbir and Sonam. The club Ranbir sang in was conviently named RK club.. Raj Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor?...
What I didn't like about the movie:
The script lacked substance and did not make any sense whatsoever. The movie was shot in a place taht was completely black and blue (Did Black have such a large influence on SLB?. Salman and Rani had no purpos ein the movie. Rani was a prostitute and hardly appeared in the movie. Salman's character did not make any sense what guy leaves and comes back expecting the girl to waiting for him? Which century and where was thsi movie shot? It lacks and substance in reality.
Would you recommend this movie to your friend: Yes
