Do you wanna logic or entertainment? Com ‘on who cares about logic?? All we want is out and out entertainment. Partner directed by David Dhawan starring ‘Luv guru’ Salman Khan aka Prem and king of Comedy Govinda serves the audience only with one and only dish and that is Entertainment non-stop. We have witnessed many comedy capers by Dhavid Dhawan but no doubt Partner is one of his finest works in terms of making you laugh. But beware Partner is not for those who are looking for a meaningful cinema. This is only for those who just want to laugh non-stop, for those who simply want to see bonding of Salman and Govinda. Partner is inspired by Hollywood hit comedy HITCH. The plot of Partner revolves around Luv-Guru aka Prem (Salman Khan) who help people to find their true love and about Bhaskar (Govinda) who is in love with his boss Priya (Kathrina Kaif). She is gorgeous, rich and daughter of business tycoon (Dilip Tahil). Bhaskar wants to seek assistance of Prem in finding his dream girl Priya. In the first few reels Prem avoid Bhaskar because of his non-sense do’s but sooner team up with him to help him to influence Priya, resulting in series of non stop fun and loads of dozes of laughter. Prem is in love with Naina (Lara Dutta), a single mother of a son. She is a gossip reporter for Mumbai Masala and is passionate about his work. Unfortunately none of his tricks and ideas works on Naina. To make your dish more spicier there is Chhota Don (Rajpal Yadav) as well. This David Dhawan ‘Partner’ is embossed with freshness and humour. Sanjay Chhel’s dialogues are hilarious and don’t allow you to sit without laughter. Music by Sajid Wajid is like ‘Sone pe Suhaga’ . You wanna partner, Gori ke Nakhre and you are my love are pick of the lot. Facial expression of Salman and Govinda in the song Gori ke Nakhre are simply amazing. In the whole movie there is hardly any tense moment. The climax is simply outstanding and full of wit and humour. Picturisation and locals are excellent. Choreographer Bosco-Caeser excels in Gori ke Nakhre song. Cinematographer Johny Lal is responsible for an opulent look all through. Now performances! Even after watching the movie you just wonder who steals the show. Actually the show is completely taken over by both Salman and Govinda. Both of them are not in any race of proving a better actor. The duos compliment each other very well. If Salman is loveable and cute like always then Govinda’s comic timing is timeless. One just wonders why he opted out politics over the movies. Fans of Govinda were little disappointed to see his dull or not so good performance in his come back movie Bhagam Bhag and Salam-e-Ishq. He is back again with a bang and it’s a party time for Govinda fans. But he needs to shelve his weight a little. Kathrina and Lara don’t get much scope but both of them looks gorgeous and able to leave their impact. Dileep Tahil and Punit Issar are. OK. Rajpal Yadav as Chhota Don is also leaves an impression but you miss more of him. Suresh Menon does justice in a small role. The performance of the child artist Ali Haji is first rate. Over all Partner is fully able to fill the whole audience with thunders of laughs and has great potential to become of the biggest hit of the year. Distributors should get ready to collect Mooooollah from both Indian and overseas territories. Not recommended for those who are heart patient and cannot laugh non-stop. Shahzad Ali from London
