Socha Hai - Starts of with a simple riff giving us a taste of what the album has to offer us.
Farhan Akhtar's vocals are different. It takes some time to get used to, but I wouldn't say its un-listenable.
A good peppy song to get the album started off.
Pichle Saat Dino: The Na-na-na-na song from the promos.. again peppy but somehwat similar to Socha Hai with a simple guitar chord riff.
Disappointed with the lyrics of this song as it talks about ladki ka phone number and laundry washing (???). Getting used to Farhan's vocals.
Rock On - No comments, everyone has heard it on the promos. We need something different now since this just sounds similar to the above 2 songs.
Ye Tumhari Meri Baatein: Oh!, a change!... A ballad out of nowhere... A pleasant song to listen to.. its more of a background music tone..
Domnique's vocals are pitch perfect and gives the lounge effect with immense amount of reverb into the vocals.
Zehreelay - Back to the hard rock genre. This one is a major disappointment.
I love listening to my songs at the highest volume. But when i start to turn the knob down, its a signal.
This song has nothign really to offer other than hard hitting/ear breaking vocals.
Im a big fan of hard rock genre, but this song isn't one classified into that genre. Fast forward this track asap.
The rest of the album is simliar to the above songs... i'm not gonna comment too much on them as im not getting paid for this review...
WATCH OUT FOR CARALISA MONTEIRO'S PHIR DEKHIYE. A VERY SIMPLE SONG BUT PROBABLY MY FAVOURITE FROM THE ALBUM.
I've heard too many rock albums to count for, and hence i wouldn't put the first 3 songs of the album on my playlist... but it is a good (slow) start for this genre to take off in bollywood.
But this is an honest review...
