Music by A.R. Rehman
Guru music, is has something special? Rehman scored well with Yuva, of course with same director Mani Retnam. Here, in Guru, we will back to Rehman taste.
Its typical score from him. The music is extraordinary. The tunes are all in his style. As we can see in his 1st offering, Barso Re... Shreya Ghosal sung extremely weel this song. The lyric are also good to express the rain calling girl who is may be in love. Shreya might win awards for this song.
Now come the best song of the album, Tere Bina, the voice is sensational, this one has been played by me several times... The singer- the music composer Rehman is excellent for this song. When didn't he sing before, seem that he's born to sing this song. The lyric, specially, Dum Dara ... will lose your heart. So be attention?
Then come another vision of the previous song with new lyric. Aye Hairathe, magically sung by Hari Haran and Alka Yagnik, the song will be also very interesting because, Aish-Abhi and the lyric of this song for the marriage, and post marriage. Beside, its has the same flovour as Tere Bina, for some even better.
Mayya Mayya, sung by Mayyam Toller, she show her abaility to sing the song. No one other can sing better than her, the fast lyric, the catchy music, the fast forword voice, the middle-east flavour, the malika iten song is a chartbuster.
Bazi Laga, just an above average score by Udit Narayan, the music remain to be Rehman typical. Ek Lo ek Muft, another number, which might not highly appreciated, as the strange lyric block you. But the good tune, the masti from singer voice, another above average fare.
Rehamn last offering, Jaage Hai, is musically excellent, will remind you the europeen classic music with orchestra, with an indian sweet voice by Rehman himself. The excellent score again.
On the whole, Guru should specified as a classic as its songs like Barso Re, Tere Bina, Aye Hairathe, Mayya Mayya, Jaage Hai are exceptional! This one will truely entertain you.
