when u have ur name in the credits for songs like "dhoom machale","shikdum" and "dilbara" one is detined to face criticism as well as comparisions from the parent album...music of dhoom 2 lacks the punch that was packed with its first version "dhoom".
"dhoom machale" was an instant hit and had even became a rage.
pritam has lost the battle this time and th music lacks the adrenalin that would depict a fast paced action thriller like dhoom 2.
the only song that stands out of the way is "dhoom again" which is sung by vishal and dominique cerejo.
the rest of the songs like "my name is ali","touch me" can be easily skipped despite of being sung by big singers like sonu nigam etc.
"my name is ali" was hyped too much as bipasha basu was going to "SING" in it but she barely speaks out one or two words. its a sheer disappointment for the listener.
another song that leaves some impact is "crazy kiya re" a peppy number and has a trademark sunidhi chauhan touch to it...much similar to dhoom machale in the first movie.
so on the whole dhoom 2 lacks that peppy masala that which was stuffed in dhoom.
the music will do well if well picturised and well performed by hrithik and ash.
