| The film Bhoot broke several rules of Bollywood formula films and was nonetheless successful. The film didn’t have any songs, it was only two hours long and more importantly, it was heroine-centered. Plus, it was a horror tale and not a love story. Although the movie has no songs, a separate soundtrack album of the movie was released to promote the movie – a first for a Bollywood film. This, however, did not work. The soundtrack sales were disappointing despite the success of the movie. |
