| When Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan did not get a visa to fly down to Mumbai for a song recording for Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal, he did the next best thing. He sang the song in a studio in Pakistan and sent it to music composer Pritam Chakraborty via e-mail. |

| The final schedule of Love Aaj Kal was in a mess due to a technical snag, which happened on Sunday 24th May 2009 at Mehboob Studios. Everything was proceeding smoothly on Sunday when suddenly, a technical error corrupted the camera. As a result, the five scenes that were shot were completely wiped out. Everybody tried hard to retrieve the scenes to no avail. However, an additional expense of Rs 9 lakh had to be incurred to reshoot those portions. |
