“BADHAAI HO BADHAAI is a rare combination of human feelings, which are beyond love,” says Subhash Ghai, who presents this Anil Kapoor – Shilpa Shetty – Kirti Reddy flick.

Directed by Satish Kaushik, who's co-produced the film with Anil Kapoor and Anas Films P. Ltd., “BADHAAI HO BADHAAI is an entertaining, feel-good film that is full of warmth and affection for life and is made intensely with a matching zest and passion.”

The storyline:

Whether you carry your heart on your sleeve or keep it tucked away under lock and key, you are sure to loose it to Raja (Anil Kapoor), who is incorrigibly in love with love itself.

BADHAAI HO BADHAAI is the story of the Chaddha family (Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal) and the D'Souza family (K. Vishwanath, Rohini Hattangady) who love to hate each other and who cannot see eye to eye.

After a period of 25 years, both the families receive letters from Raja, saying he is their grandchild and is coming to live with them. On arrival, only rejection is in store for Raja, who then finds a shelter with Ghooman Singh (Kader Khan), a raucous singer.

Never to accept defeat easily, Raja wins over the love of the grand parents, who are constantly pressurising him to marry. To save himself from the tangles of marriage, he lies to them saying that he is already married to a girl called Banto Betty (Shilpa Shetty).

Banto Betty is sensuous and alluring, funny and full of vigour. On the other hand is a dreamy, vulnerable and lost-in-her-own-world Florence (Kirti Reddy).

Raja, who has avowed to unite both the families after years of feud, is shocked when he sees Banto Betty posing as his wife, whereas he is actually in love with someone else.

Who is Banto Betty? Who is Raja's real love? Do both the families unite? Is Raja the healing touch that we need in life today?

“Many more poignant questions like these are answered very articulately throughout the film. Here is a warm and tender, funny and enthralling family story that gives love a whole new dimension. A film where you'll laugh so much that a tear might just roll down,” says Satish Kaushik.
