A thief on the run hides a 30 crore diamond in a building under construction. He is arrested and jailed. Months later, he is freed from the jail and in anticipation of that diamond goes back to that site only to find it becoming the police headquarters. So what happens next?

The characterisation of the artistes is as follows:

Bobby Deol (Sham/Inspector Ram) plays a bumbling thief Sham, who becomes police inspector Ram in search of the 30 crore booty.

Shilpa Shetty (Kajal) plays the ACP's daughter, who falls in love with her father's driver.

Bipasha Basu (Inspector Ranjita) falls in love with Inspector Ram never suspecting that he is a thief.

Paresh Rawal (Ranbir Singh) plays the ACP.

Om Puri (Inspector Pande) is of a suspicious nature and it borders on paranoia

Ashish Vidyarthi (Tito) is a bad man who keeps on changing his avatar from thief to a chaiwaala in search of that diamond.
