In the trend of multiplex movies arrives 'Shaadi Ka Laddoo' produced by Vicky Tejwani and Raj Kaushal. SKL is directed by Raj Kaushal who earlier directed the launch pad of Dino Morea, Sanjay Suri and Rinke Khanna - 'Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi'. The movie also introduced music composers Vishal-Shekhar [who also compose for SKL] and was the stepping-stone for Shaan in the big league after his first big playback singing hit - 'Musu Musu'! SKL stars Sanjay Suri, Ashish Chaudhary, Mandira Bedi, Divya Dutta and Nigar Khan of 'Chadhti Jawaani (remix)', 'Ishq Khudai' (Rudraksh) and currently on air 'Chod Do Aanchal' fame makes a special appearance. SKL is a breezy comedy about young guys who venture into a married life after knowing it's pros and cons and their subsequent adventures thereon!

As a great kick-start to the publicity of the movie, the producers have come up with a novel opening song - 'Chal Hutt' which will appeal to children and adults alike. Children because of generous dose of animation in the video and adults because Nigar Khan, on whom the song is picturized, is simply sizzling! The song is about this great looking girl who grabs attention wherever she goes and is proposed at every nook and corner! An extremely catchy number, coupled with great western arrangements, stylized vocals of Sunidhi Chauhan, naughty lyrics and pleasant choreography ensure that the song is here to stay! A hit track!

You must have liked the kind of youthful music that is composed by the western musical band - 'AQUA'!! If you have liked 'I am Barbie Girl' by this band, you will also like 'Bach Ke Rehna' which has the similar musical arrangements that have been in true terms 'inspired' [and not copied]! This song is an about turn from 'Chal Hutt' where this leggy beauty is asking men to be careful from her lest they fall in her charms. Sung by Sunidhi Chauhan who sounds uniquely different from the earlier song, it is peppy and youthful. The number may not eventually be as popular as 'Chal Hutt' but is still good as a party track.

After two solo female tracks, finally comes a love duet. Sung by Shaan and Mahalaxmi (who sounds every bit as Kavita Krishnamurthy), 'Kuch To Ho Raha Hai' is a sweet-'n'-melodious track about a couple deeply in love. The song has a jazzy feel around it, especially during the chorus part, which is present throughout the number in the background. Lyrics by Vishal Dadlani are fine which are not much different from the regular love songs but still are nice to ears.

Another love duet that follows soon is 'Tum Kaho Toh' which is far more melodious and nice to hear. An extremely pleasant song sung by Udit Narayan and Mahalaxmi, it reminds of the love songs that were so very popular from the composers' earlier hits in 'Jhankaar Beats'. The song has the couple ready to do anything for each other in love and is pretty well composed.

Sunidhi Chauhan returns again with a solo 'Woh Kaun Hai', a soft poppish number about a girl's dreams for her prince charming. It is a track in which the girl is shown fantasizing about her lover-to-be, whom she doesn't know and has never met! A well-sung song (as always] by Sunidhi Chauhan, it should make for a pleasant number in the movie if spun well with the situation.

Last track of the album is 'Biwi Ka Belan' which is a fun song about two youths - one married and another unmarried - who are discussing about the pros and cons of marriage. The unmarried guy is ready to compromise everything and anything for taking 'saat-pheras' whereas the married guy warns him against it. A feel good song sung by Kay Kay and Shaan, it should be able to make a good impression on the screen if presented well.

Vishal-Shekhar have been steadily making their way in the big league of Bollywood after bit scores in Kaante, Plan, Love In Nepal, Supari, a full fledged Jhankaar Beats and now SKL!! Never once does the boredom creep while listening to this album. A fresh and an earnest approach coupled with the youthful feel make it a good buy, at least for the campus crowds.
