Fresh after the super-success of Tere Naam comes another musical by Himesh Reshammiya - 'Ishq Hai Tumse'. Produced by G.A.Seshagiri Rao and directed by G.Krishna (the same team, which was behind the social-comedy 'Aamdani Athanni Kharcha Ruppaiya'), IHT is, as the title suggests, a love story that brings the ex-real life pair of Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu together after the super-hit Raaz and super-flop Gunaah. Sanjay Chhel and Sameer share the credit for the lyrics.

The first thing that strikes to mind after hearing the opening song 'Dil Dil Dil' is - 'Oh! This number is so-very-predictable'. And that too not just composition wise, but also the location, cinematography, Bipasha's typical eye movements, flowing hair and the works. Nothing original about the number, Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik just go with the motions in this number written by Sanjay Chhel.

'O Soniya' is a simple love number sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Again, a predictable track with even more predictable lyrics (by Sameer), it follows the long treaded path of mush and feel-good. Himesh Reshammiya tries his best to infuse freshness in this track and does manage to some extent. Remix of the same also stays away from being loud and just provides that extra zing to it.

Tempo of IHT rises gradually with 'Chaahat Ki Khushboo' which is even better than the preceding number. Though neither the lyricist Sanjay Chhel nor the composer Himesh try to do something different or adventurous, the number still clicks in a way. Shaan and Alka Yagnik are good as well.

If you loved 'Nikamma' (Kya Dil Ne Kaha), 'Mohabbat Hai Mirchi' (Chura Liya Hai Tumne), 'O Jaana' (Tere Naam) and 'Simple Si Coffee' (Zameen) and if you still want to hear a similar composition again then you can as well play 'Humko Chahiye' by Himesh's favorite item-number-boy Shaan. Sister Sagarika too joins him this time and is party to the funky proceedings. Predictable - but then 'IT' works!

'Lutf De Gayee' is a soft pop track and comes across as a fresh track. It makes for a very good hearing and KK's vocals are just superb. Hema Sardesai supports well. A noticeable point in the recent Himesh numbers, is that he makes his singers sing 'differently'. Sameer's lyrics too deserve a special mention. A nice song!

'Ishq Hai Zindagi' is Laxmikant-Pyarelal meet Nadeem Shravan, as is so apparent in the overall composition. Sameer's lyrics provide that necessary Nadeem-Shravan touch, as he has been associated with them for ages now, and Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik and Vinod Rathod too enjoy themselves. A track that can be considered as a fusion qawalli, it again rises above the average mark and manages to sustain one's interest. It also hints of a possible third angle in this love story due to the inclusion of Vinod Rathod. Look out for this one!

IHT starts very predictably but later shifts gears and runs at the top speed. A feel good pleasant musical score with all 7 tracks as the love duets, it entertains throughout without experimenting too much. Yes, for the purists it doesn't deliver anything outrightly original, but then how many composers are doing that these days! At least, IHT sticks to a line and succeeds well in that.

An entertaining package for your dearest!
