Sssshhh.....!! A killer is on the prowl !! A murder mystery surrounding 7 friends that FINALLY marks the debut of Kajol's kid
sister Tanisha, this Cinevista production also has Pavan S Kaul making his first foray into film direction !! Starring Karan
Rakeshnath (Paagalpan, Ye Dil Aashiquana) and Dino Morea in the lead roles, Sssshhh... has feel-good music by Anu Malik
whereas Praveen Bhardwaj, Rahat Indori, Yogesh and Dev Kohli are in charge of the lyircs department !! The movie has built up
quite an interest due to its innovative title (though a movie with a similar title was released some time back down south !!) and a
novel publicity campaign that started about a month back !!
Anu Malik delivers a typical 'feel good-unoriginal-yet pleasant to hear' score in 'Tera Mera Dil' that is sung by
now-getting-popular jodi of Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik !! Praveen Bhardwaj too plays safe and we have a typical romantic
song picturised in scenic locations in hand !! A song that may be played for some time to come, at least till the movie reigns at
the box office !! 'Dheere Dheer Hua', sung by Adnan Sami and Alka Yagnik, is again a regular Anu Malik romantic song that
doesn't boast of anything remotely different from what he normally delivers but still comes with a 'reliable composition' tag !!
'Mohabbat Mein Hai' is an above average solo by Shaan that is not one of the best sung by him but still manages to do OK !! A
fast track about love and longness, what may elevate it more is good picturisation and some energetic choreography !! 'Jab
Mera Dil', written by Rahat Indori is an average sensual number that just stays afloat (like most of the other tracks of
Sssshhh...). nothing extraordinary to cheer about, this Sonu Nigam track is good to hear but the sensuality angle is not as
obvious as has recently been in 'Katra Katra', another sensual song from to-be-released 'Love In Nepal' !!
'Sapney' is a sure shot peppy popcorn track which is about aspirations and ambitions of youth. Written by Yogesh and sung
by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik (again !!), it is a melodious track that sounds good to ears and comes easy on lips. !! Though
not of chartbuster category, it is still a good time-pass track !!
Though pretty late in the day, the real fun arrives in the form of 'Ishq Da Maara Hai' - a party track of the 'definite hit' category,
written by Dev Kohli. Pity that there is no Khan or a Hrithik Roshan to carry this song, else it would already have been very
superhit by this time !! But Dino Morea, Karan and Tanisha do a fine job and the choreography/picturisation too is good
enough. Husky vocals of Sunidhi Chauhan a la 'Ding Dong Ding' from Kuchh To Hai add fun to the proceedings in company with
Sukhwinder Singh. A song that can be easily singled out in Sssshhh...!!
Overall, Sssshhh has got some average-to-above average decent tracks that make this entire album a popcorn affair. Anyway,
much was not expected from the music of Sssshhh as more than the music, the movie is being hyped !! Though the music
cannot be considered to be the USP of the movie, it does just well to some extent in complimenting with the overall feel of the
Sssshhh...!!
