The film is high on dance but low on emotional connect. There's a dance at the drop of a hat and then a song at the blink of an eye.

There is no story to speak of and the direction is almost non-existent. And that is very sad because Aarif Sheikh who has directed this disaster, has also edited movies...

It carries an underlying sense of social obligation but the story is treated with youthful appeal and feel good factor.

The film tells a straightforward story, with a couple of nice touches:the youngest slumkid's hero worship of his dance teacher is sweet. But it needed to be much smarter, with terrific dancing and super sequences, which is the only way to drive a non-starry vehicle.

Go for it if you are a dancing fan and don't mind sitting through a boring plot for the sake of some great dance sequence.

The motive of a dance movie is to make you want to get up and dance. Though it is well-choreographed and Gayatri is a joy to watch. Let's Dance doesn't have that impact. It is a better idea to go dancing than watch Let's Dance.

There is nothing about Let's Dance that isn't driven by cliche. Perhaps one must practice a form of generosity and avoid expecting...anything from a film that aspires to be a musical (from its advertising and marketing).
