2 of 5 people found this review helpful For most of its running time, the film and its lead characters keep you involved in their sense of helplessness. There seems to be a consistent feeling of tension and urgency throughout the movie. And a large part of the credit must go to Madhavan who steers through the film effortlessly...

5 of 8 people found this review helpful Vikram K Kumar is not just a smart storyteller and a proficient technician but has also extracted credible performances from his cast. R Madhavan is excellent as the central protagonist of the film, troubled by the TV...

It's an interesting tale, told well, with all the mandatory twists and turns in all the right places.

2 of 4 people found this review helpful '13B' is rigorously horrendous sans these elements. 'Man Vs Gadgets' ? Preferably, man is so obsessed with his electronic mediums, say mobile phone or television and there are no questions denying this truth.

2 of 4 people found this review helpful The second half offers up a complicated but satisfactory explanation for the events that transpired before intermission. Enough happens post intermission to actually make the pain of having sat through the amateur hour histrionics of the earlier material seem worthwhile.

2 of 4 people found this review helpful The climax is long-winded and the film could have been cut short by at least half an hour.

2 of 4 people found this review helpful 13B's enterprising spooks act in (and presumably direct) a soap that is certainly bizarre enough for Indian television.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful The film is a must see for Madhavan's superb act. He brilliantly conveys the dilemma that he faces and his vulnerability in handling the bizarre situations around him. Neetu Chandra in a less make up look gives him able support...

1 of 2 people found this review helpful The first of the flaws is mainly the ignorance of the remainder of the family that does not see the parallel. In fact, it is so obvious that a child would have picked it up. Was a song really necessary? I think not. It just adds time to the movie...

1 of 2 people found this review helpful A movie like '13B' could have done better without songs which serve no other purpose here than to make the movie longer. Yes, the editor should have used his scissors more frequently. Because by the time the mystery unravels, the viewer is too tired to care a hell.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful 13B is the kind of convenient thriller where you do get a twist ending, but the kind in which anything goes. The logic behind the twist and the back-story to the supernatural premise is so convoluted, it's hardly clever.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful The only thing that keeps the film going is the acting prowess of R Madhavan, with some great support from Murali Sharma. But a Madhavan is not enough to prop the film. He does his best and tries to be as natural as possible. He receives little support from the cast, which includes veteran actress Poonam Dhillon and talented newcomer Neetu Chandra...

2 of 4 people found this review helpful The dialogue is simple and routine, the screenplay (also credited to the director) very adept. P C Sreeram's camerawork is stylish and the performances of the principal cast are all in tandem. Sreekar Prasad edits the film with a polished hand making sure no shot overstays its screen time.
