10 of 12 people found this review helpful The film literally holds up a mirror to the commitment phobia of the young, successful professionals who keep changing their status from 'committed' to 'single' on the sundry social networking sites. Much to the chagrin of their dads and mums who fail to understand this emotional dilettantism and keep badgering them with love-of-a-lifetime cliches...

The feel of the film is fresh, youthful and light-hearted throughout which is aptly complemented by informal and straight-out-of-life dialogues, peppy musical score and natural performances...

2 of 5 people found this review helpful The music of the movie is very good and the songs apt to the situation. But too many film formulas rolled into one makes 'Love Aaj Kal' a Cultural Cocktail instead of a Cult. Worth seeing once as it comes like a good breakthrough after the Box Office disasters this year.

2 of 6 people found this review helpful Love Aaj Kal is a harmless, watchable film -- sad, because it could have been truly special. It has its moments in the first half, while the second half is an over-melodramatic drag...

2 of 3 people found this review helpful In both tales, Imtiaz weaves a pattern to display that whatever era you may have been in, Love has a singular momentum and you only love once. Both love stories are unraveled together and as they head to the climax, Imtiaz has you firmly in his grip...

3 of 4 people found this review helpful Love Aaj Kal is a film definitely not to be missed. It offers us something fresh and and is a unique experiment in story telling and direction that works big time. It is one film that Saif, Deepika and Imtiaz shall always be proud of whenever they look back at their career.

5 of 5 people found this review helpful The first hour of the movie moves at a jet speed, with the lead pair, Saif & Deepika, falling in love and thinking about their affair in pure practical terms. Imitaz Ali scores the maximum in this brilliantly directed part where he sincerely tries to explain the complexities felt by the young couples from the current generation...

3 of 3 people found this review helpful Don't expect Love Aaj Kal to be on the lines of Jab We Met. These are two very different films. You would love it if you don't tend to compare them.

One understands where Ali was coming from when he decided to convey that the emotion of love was just the same across different generations. In the end, however, "Love Aaj Kal" turns out to be just another love story.

The film in the end is ordinary stuff, watchable but never memorable like the director's previous efforts, the far superior "Socha Na Tha" and "Jab We Met".It's like that plump mango you bite into only to discover it's not ripe yet. Watch it nevertheless for the sharp dialogue and some clever humor.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful Love Aaj Kal too aims to be a character-driven film but somewhere down the line it falters due to sub-standard writing. The major problem is the lack of originality due to which both the love stories collapse like a pack of cards...

1 of 1 people found this review helpful Love Aaj Kal doesn't really disappoint you at any level irrespective of what expectations you had with the movie. The highlight of the movie is the naive love story of Veer and Harleen, that brings with it a lot of innocent-natural-spontaneous moments that you will surely enjoy and relish even after your out of the theatre...
