While the action is raw and to some extent even enjoyable, what annoys most about Baabarr is the fact that it actually glorifies crime and its protagonist's actions...

If Baabarr -- why is everybody into numerology? - fails to create a firm impression, it's because director Trikha gets only the mood right, not the scenes...

As expected. there is violence galore. But our hero Baabarr (newcomer Soham Shah) looks more a lover boy than a killing machine. There is no meanness in his eyes and his body language is that of a teenager who has just set his hands on a revolver; not that of a seasoned killer...

The pre-requisite for a crime-based action film is a swift pace and that is one thing Baabarr doesn't lack. There's always something happening and one situation leads to another in a clean and clear flow...

The movie is highly violent and brutal showing a lot of bloodshed with numerous murders and shoot outs. Though it has some gripping moments and power packed performances in store, but sadly talks about the same gang war drama seen several times before on the screen.

This thrilling film is intricately layered and looks not only into the life of a criminal but attempts to peep into the concept of 'crime' and areas where crime is bred and nurtured.

'Baabarr' showcases Mithun as an encounter specialist with Om Puri bringing in the shades of gray with his shrewd cop act. In the flick, Sushant Singh plays Baabarr`s arch nemesis, yet, with a limited character sketch, the actor hardly gets the chance to reveal his acting prowess.

Baabarr is a captivating and powerful tale. Sure, there's excessive violence, but there's a reason behind it and that works in its favour. At the box-office, it has best chances in the Northern belt and also at single screens mainly.

Baabarr set in Uttar Pradesh beautifully essays the brutal reality of evil-mentality of cops-politicians-gangsters and the deterioration of the law and order.Baabarr is a power-packed story with all the elements in a place. It's worth a watch. Go and grab the opportunity.

That little fellow with burning eyes grows up into a fearless contract killer. Baabarr (Sohum) and his fellow travelers live in Lucknow, not Mumbai.

The twists and turn in the flick seem so real and keep the viewers hooked for the longer period. Abbas Ali Moghul handling of action sequences must be praised.Due to absence of any big stars from bollywood and dark, brutal nature of the flick, it is unlikely to find favor in big cites or at multiplexes.

Watching Baabarr is a strainful experience, the subject is completely dark with a gruelling plot. The amount of negativity shown in the characters is quite difficult to absorb.Baabarr is an average film but one needs courage to sit through it.
