3 of 3 people found this review helpful Jashnn is another such story of dreams and ambition. The characters are classic Bhatt stereotypes: ambitious, unlucky, emotional and self-destructive!

Jashnn is a fiasco of the highest order. Judged purely by what you see on screen, it's evident the director-duo doesn't have a fingernail's worth of skill at telling a credible story...

For a film about music and musicians, it is surprisingly sparse songs-wise. It's the performances which keep you going.

You won't regret watching Jashnn but then again don?t expect anything great. Jashnn promises celebration moments as much as an old wine in new bottle.

The problem with Jashnn is that most of the characters are struggling throughout. They are shouting, fighting and crying all the time. The first half is tedious as characters are being established. You think the second half will pick up but it doesn't.

'Jashnn' is a film dotted with a few touching moments and a charged-up climax. Mind you, it's not about a rock band...

Jashnn works in parts, but doesn't in its entirety. Length and the confused screenplay are its biggest flaws...

1 of 1 people found this review helpful "Jashnn" fails to make a stronger impact as expected. With only one or two worth listening songs, it does not have the right tracks required for a musical love story...

Watch it for its vintage appeal: it reminds you of the unadulterated emotional interplay of Mahesh Bhatt's cinema, not so long ago. Come back, Mahesh, it's been a long sabbatical.

Jashnn retells one of the oldest stories in the book, dreamt by every teenager hitting puberty. Talented hero yearns to be a famous singing star. After years of struggle and sacrifice, he finally achieves his dream...

Jashnn really does not deserve any stars. The only rating it will get is for its terrific music. The song, Aaya Re, is the film's lifeline...

There are no stars in this film; the script is the biggest winner. It's a rare story, adapted to today's times and told with immense sensitivity...

Jashnn is a completely avoidable fare and quite a letdown. 'The music within' claim holds no truth. Nothing to celebrate here!
