In that sense, debutant Anil Senior's Dil Kabaddi is pretty much a hand- me-down version of the veteran's much-admired take on infidelity, Husbands and Wives.

Dil Kabaddi has a familiar urban setting that's a staple of most multiplex films. The characters and situations are also nothing out of the ordinary.

Sadly the graph falls down considerably in the second half. The story somehow strays to subplots, beats around the bush, becomes repetitive and even drags at instances.

'Dil Kabaddi' vows to attract the viewers with strong theme, power packed performances by the skilled actors and some very creatively written dialogues...

The movie is kept alive by the smartness of its actors, who lend the occasionally dull screenplay a lot of spark. It's not easy to give life to leaden lines such as this, "life is not a dream but a bad saas bahu serial," but the cast manages. And am I glad to see Rahul Khanna back in Bollywood...

With the entire premise copied from Woody Allen's Husbands and Wives, Dil Kabaddi fits in and is quiet identifiable for uptown couple's in the Indian metros. The whole infidelity angle will somehow not be accepted by small town crowds. In metros people somehow have started getting into the mindset that infidelity in marriages is somewhat taken for granted in today?s time.

With respect to performances the film does boast of an excellent one from Soha Ali. She is seen adding life to her character and she essays her character with flair. The minute movements she makes add a new dimension to her character...

Dil Kabaddi is a sorry attempt to remake the English rom-com Husbands and Wives. Sumit (Irrfan Khan) is desperate for sex. His wife Mita (Soha Ali Khan) is the ?intellectual? type and is therefore cold according to him. He therefore goes looking for some fun outside the house and gets himself a hot young aerobic instructor Kaya (Payal Rahotgi).

The film begins on a promising note and then peters off into repetitive scenes, some funny, some silly, where nothing actually happens. And the track between Irfan and Payal ends up as completely out of sync, with the aerobic instructress ending up as a complete bimbette. All in all, Dil Kabaddi is a promise (of fun) that remains unfulfilled.

Dil Kabbadi is a marital comedy and to quote Irrfan Khan "It is Kabbadi that one's heart plays". The film delves into the lives of two couples who are caught in the web of post marital boredom. How the couples deal with an irresistible temptation of lurking out of the relationship for some fun is what the film explores.
