10 of 20 people found this review helpful By the time the oceanic treasure-hunt initiates in the climax, you see blue since the film is 'in deep water'...

15 of 20 people found this review helpful "Blue" may not be the mind-blowing commercial action thriller that you would have ever seen. However, it certainly is the most innovative attempt that deserves to be acknowledged and lauded...

3 of 3 people found this review helpful Much of 'Blue' is set over land, in Bahamas. Aarav (Akshay Kumar) and Sagar (Sanjay Dutt) are good friends who bond over fishing and boxing. Aarav, who is rich and looking to be richer, seems particularly interested in a sunken ship called 'Lady in Blue'. Why? Because it carries a treasure lost in 1949 when the ship sank on its way from England to India.

The entire first half is spent by Akshay in cajoling a reluctant Sanjay Dutt to jump into the ocean and retrieve the treasure. But Dutt has a sordid past which precludes him from taking the big leap, until it becomes imperative to do so...He must fish out the moolah to save his errant kid brother, Zayed Khan, from a biker gang that is desperate for its pound of flesh.

0 of 3 people found this review helpful The entire first half is wasted on efforts to tell people how good a diver Sagar is, how good a racer Sam is, and how intelligent Aarav is. And most of it is added just to make the film more flamboyant rather than tell the story better. Sigh! May be the first half could have been edited out.

0 of 3 people found this review helpful A bad story is further affected by bad dialogues, again by Mayur Puri, and topple it with sad performances, where there is no power in dialogue delivery, weak background score to create no drama, leaving an emotional disconnect between the audience and the film.

0 of 3 people found this review helpful When a film is just over two hours long and still seems burdensome, you know something's wrong with it. And it's all because of a lack of a tightened script and a novel screenplay.

0 of 3 people found this review helpful 'Blue' revolves around the underwater dangers as well as the untold riches lying buried in the deep water. Canned in one of the grandest locales, the Bahamas, 'Blue' offers some great underwater shots, adrenaline rushing chases and Lara Dutta's million dollar bikini act!

0 of 4 people found this review helpful A really interesting premise shot beautifully but messed big time by unimaginative writing and lackluster direction is what Blue shall always be remembered as.

0 of 3 people found this review helpful The dialogues are pathetic and juvenile. Sample this: Jis din mein haar jaaonga, uss din mein duniya chhod doonga. You wonder why Akshay and Sanjay call each other 'Sarkar' and 'Sethji' all the time, even in the intense scenes.

0 of 4 people found this review helpful Blue is not a thriller so much as an extremely violent swimsuit calendar. The film is madness, mayhem and carnage all wrapped up into one big dumb actioner filled with plot and logic holes galore.

0 of 4 people found this review helpful Shockingly, whatever plot this film revolves around does not start until after intermission.
