3 of 8 people found this review helpful The sad fall-out of Mr Bhatt's stiff-upper-lip machinations, however, is quite simply this: In his concerted attempts to recreate a period English setting, he has managed to adequately conjure up just the stuffiness -- and has made a 'horror' film so dreadfully boring it would send James Ivory to sleep...

3 of 6 people found this review helpful '1920' promises to be Vikram Bhatt's finest work. Both Rajneesh Duggal and Adah Sharma have potential to make it big in Bollywood. Adah is exceptionally brilliant in her performance.

0 of 3 people found this review helpful There are no surprises for anyone who has seen spine tinglers from Bees Saal Baad and The Exorcism to Whatever-Ramsay-You, but to Bhatt's credit, after the intermission he goes full blast at the spooky, Satanic-possession stuff. In fact, the climax is one of the best executed attempts in special effects in recent times...

2 of 3 people found this review helpful The choice of the lead actors is very good. Rajneesh Duggal and Adah Sharma give out great performances. In fact, Adah as the one possessed, gives off a performance as one possessed!! A terrifying debut...

1 of 3 people found this review helpful Horror movies must be one of the toughest genres of movies to make. The script has to be tight; execution has to be such that it should succeed in scaring the hell out of the audience...

2 of 4 people found this review helpful The climax, when Adah is possessed, looks uncannily like The Exorcist, although a very tamed down version of it. The film definitely has its 'Oh!' moments but these are ruined by the extremely predictable climax. Speaking of which, almost the entire film is predictable, that's another let down.

1 of 4 people found this review helpful 1920 does have a story that could have been better if the director didn’t try too hard to make it unpredictable. His this effort only adds to the length of the story without making it any less generic...
