2 of 3 people found this review helpful Silly as it may sound, Dhoondte Reh Jaoge is the story of a bunch of buffoons who set out to calculatedly make a flop film.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful Dhoondte? opens with funnyman Paresh Rawal who plays the character of Raj Chopra, a film producer who fakes a suicide in order to get away from his creditors. Just the mention of a few producers, including Ronnie Screwvala who is also Dhoondte...'s producer, generated the first few laughs and the film looked promising.

3 of 4 people found this review helpful The film runs on a basic premise: everything is the opposite of what it is in real life. Instead of making a hit film, the two want to make a flop film; instead of a good story, they want a bad story; car maker Mitsubishi becomes Charsubishi; 420 becomes 840; Aaj Tak is Kal Tak, and so on.

Dhoondte hi reh jaoge, for that side-splitting comedy that's supposed to give you paisa-vasool entertainment. Though, to be honest, if you still keep looking -- and manage to sit through the tedious first-half -- you might glean a few laughs in the second half, when the film actually tries to spoof all the successful Bollywood films from Sholay to Lagaan.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful The idea of a film within a film gives the director more scope to fill the film with lots more ridiculous stunts and spoofs. The slapstick, over the top brand of comedy continues right till the end of the movie, with no respite.

0 of 1 people found this review helpful The first half of DRJ fizzles out somewhere between yawns and cola gulps. The film just fails to draw a viewer in.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful The story is about two losers ? Raj Chopra and honest CA-turned-trickster Anand Pawar (Kunal Khemu) ? who dream up an elaborate con in which they will borrow Rs 105 crore for a movie, make a flop on a Rs 5 crore budget and pocket the change.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful Sonu Sood has 11 avatars in the film -- a dwarf Sood, a squint Sood, a stammering Sood... That may have been interesting too, except that Sood does a terrible job.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful The film reminds you of the very recent Luck By Chance, as Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge is basically a funny spoof on Bollywood.
